Here's a thing I don't get
Like Starbot said it’s largely because of colour limitations but also because of tumblr itself, tumblr doesn’t like gifs that are too big when on any other site they load just fine.

Why are so many .gifs in black and white when the movie/TV show they were taken from is in colour?
Like…one or more very clever cinematographers worked hard to get the right balance...
